Welcome from the President

Welcome to all who are reading this and if you are inspired to find out more about Rotary and our Club, please make contact and we would love to meet you and have you attend one of our meetings to see who we are. The Rotary Club of Brisbane Centenary is a smallish Club of around 17 members but we are very well known for “punching above our weight”. We run an annual Fun Run that raises funds of over $30,000 for the Wesley Choices programme, Beef Bank and a number of other charities. Beef Bank is one of our major projects that provides over 50,000 meat meals annually for the homeless and underprivileged.

We support a number of great organisations such as Pushing Barriers, a group that provides sporting opportunities for children of refugees. We have helped rebuild as kindergarten in Fiji that was devastated by a cyclone.

We support a number of Rotary youth projects such as RYLA and RYPEN and recently helped form the first Rotakids Club in our District. This is a Club based in Middle Park State School for grades 3-6 and provides opportunity for these children to develop community awareness and projects.

We strongly support Rotary Foundation which does amazing things – the most notable being working with the Gates Foundation to virtually eradicate Polio from the world.

We are very proud of our Club and welcome like- minded people who want to give back to the community.  We hope to see you soon.
